Elafotopos, Zagori, Greece

It is our pleasure to contribute to the education of the young biologists and their acquaintance with the beautiful nature of Zagori!

On Monday 27 May, together with students from the University of Ioannina, we held a successful biodiversity recording workshop (Bioblitz) and Soundwalk at the Elafotopos-Kalyvia transhumance trail in central Zagori!

The workshop was held with the participation of students from the Department of Biological Sciences and Technology of the University of Ioannina and with professor Kiki Kati as scientific supervisor.

The workshop was implemented in the framework of the project “Working to protect the common future of Egyptian vulture and traditional livestock farming”, co-funded by Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT), with key partners the Hellenic Ornithological Society and the Ecomuseum Zagori.

A big thank you to all participants for their dedication and active participation in the conservation of our natural heritage!
