Aikaterini – Konstantina Chr. Kontopanagou, from Patras, has a background in Archaeology and Byzantine iconography. She taught at the University of Ioannina (2011-2020) and the Ionian University (2019-2023). She also teaches at the Hellenic Open University (2017-) and holds a scientific associate position in the Ionian Islands Region. Her academic focus includes studying Byzantine and post-Byzantine art and the social and cultural development within historical regions.She has a keen interest in cultural heritage management, utilizing new historical and archaeological data technologies, merging cultural heritage with tourism development, and promoting sustainable cultural tourism. Furthermore, she has numerous publications addressing these areas of research.
