MSc Environmentalist
Dimitra Papaioannidou is an environmentalist, graduate of the Department of Environment of the University of the Aegean with postgraduate studies in the MSc “Environment and Development” of the NTUA. Her research interests focus on environmental protection, biodiversity conservation and integrated development. She holds a Certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence from the Department of Environment, University of the Aegean. She has been active in environmental organizations where she has been involved in environmental education, communication, awareness raising and environmental consciousness raising. She has completed her internship at the MEMOLab Laboratory of Biocultural Archaeology at the University of Granada for the conservation and promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of the region. Practically, she has experimented with sustainable and regenerative lifestyles in permaculture projects. At Ecomuseum Zagori, she contributes to the promotion of local ecotourism experience through environmental and cultural hiking trails, the design and implementation of educational programs and integrated development through the protection and valorization of the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
