In the trails of the transhumance farmers

Farm to forest, we are part of the same ecosystem.

In this programme we will talk about the concept of biodiversity, the wealth of life forms that exist in our region. We will also see how biodiversity is affected by mobile farming by going to the farm and getting to know the protagonists, namely the farmer and the animals. It won’t be simple, thoughˑ we’ve got work to do! Roll up your sleeves and help with the farm work while playing with the animals. Then, we’ll walk in the trails of the transhumance farmers and explore the connections between livestock and the environment, listening to the sounds and looking for clues. On the way back, we won’t forget to feed the donkeys! At the end, we will play games and do age-appropriate activities to recap what we have seen and done.
